Why the Cell group ?
We all need the support of other Christians as we follow Jesus
in living out our lives.
Sometimes it can be easy to get lost in a large group, such as
the Church as a whole. Because of that, we’ve come to recognise
the benefits of small groups as a way of supporting each other
as we grow in our faith.
·
smaller numbers allow us to
have a more focussed care and concern for each other
·
it is easier to take part
when there are smaller numbers
·
it is less daunting for
those who are ready to start taking on a leadership role The Church has operated such fellowship groups for many years. The Cell group is a new variation on that, in that we make reaching out to non-Christians a central part of our activities.
What do we do ?
We meet on Wednesdays for prayer and Bible study or a talk
and discussion. Occasionally
we invite a guest speaker.
We also hold 2 or 3 social events each session, such as
games evenings, barbecues, musical evenings, rambles etc.

Aims
The cell group has several aims:

to support and encourage each other in following Jesus
·
to help new Christians learn more about God
