What is family church ?
As part of the Sunday worship at
Worcester Park Baptist Church. there are special activities for young people. The aim of
these is to encourage and teach the children the Christian way and values. We call this
family church.
What age groups are there ? For those under 5 we have a crèche. On becoming 5, children join in one of the groups. | Do children take part in the service ? All children over 3 attend the first part of morning worship (starting at 10:30) for about 20 minutes, then leave for their own classes. These finish at the same time as the morning service (11:30-11.45). Once a month there is a parade service for the Boys' and Girls' brigades, where the entire service is designed for young people and there is no separate family church. |
